My most recent commission is a brass backsplash for the head (bathroom) of a sailboat. It is 35 inches long and 9 1/2 inches wide. It is my first project in brass and so reprepresented a challenge to duplicate the detail I have favoured in my copper pieces as brass is less malleable. This relief differs from my other works in that the ends are curved to conform with the contours of the space around it. It took two months to complete and represents a new level of expertise in my exploration of metal art.
