After many years of limiting myself to working with paint, I believe I have discovered the artistic medium that allows for a fuller expression of my talents. I get a huge amount of pleasure (and exercise) while I employ a classic technique for making a piece of metal sculpture that will be enjoyed by generations of collectors. Creating a piece of copper sculpture using the repoussé technique requires a light hand, a well muscled arm, a back of tempered steel, and an infinite capacity for not only taking pains but also for striking a piece of metal tens of thousands of times. |
